How we build and review our content

Last updated

Good exam prep starts with the right content. This page explains how we decide what each course covers, how we review it, and how we keep it current.

1. We start from the exam itself

Every course is built for one specific exam and version, for example CompTIA Security+ SY0-701.

  • Official objectives first. Where the exam body publishes an official outline or objectives document, we map every chapter and lesson to it. We show which objectives a chapter covers and, when the exam body publishes them, how much each domain is weighted.
  • Our own topic map when there is no official outline. Some exams don't publish detailed objectives. For those, our content team builds a topic map from the exam body's public materials and the subject itself. We label these clearly as oEdu course coverage, never as an official exam blueprint.

2. Who builds and reviews the content

Our content team writes and structures each course. Subject-matter consultants with working experience in the field review content that needs specialist knowledge.

Before a course or update goes live, we check that:

  • each lesson and question maps to a topic the exam actually covers
  • answers and explanations are technically correct and consistent with current guidance
  • wording is clear, and each question has one defensible correct answer
  • terminology matches what the exam body uses

3. Original practice questions

Our practice questions, quizzes, flashcards and practice exams are written by our team to test the knowledge and skills in the exam objectives. They are designed to match the style, difficulty and format of the real exam.

We don't publish questions taken from live exams. Candidates agree to keep those confidential, and memorizing them doesn't build the understanding you need to pass and to do the job.

4. Exam facts are verified at the source

Facts about the exam itself (cost, number of questions, time limit, passing score, eligibility, renewal) come only from the exam body's official documents. On our exam guide pages, each fact links to its source and shows the date we last verified it. We check those sources every month and update our pages when the exam body changes something.

5. Keeping courses current

  • We monitor exam bodies for new exam versions, objective changes and retirements.
  • When an exam changes, we update the affected lessons, questions and practice exams. If a new version replaces an exam, we add a course for the new version.
  • Each course page shows the date it was last reviewed.
  • Updates during your paid access are included at no extra cost.

6. The AI tutor

The AI tutor helps you understand the material: it explains concepts in different ways and walks you through questions you got wrong. It works from the course you're studying. Like any tutor, it can occasionally be wrong. If an explanation doesn't match the lesson or the official materials, tell us and we'll review it.

7. Learner feedback and corrections

Learners can discuss questions and flag answers they believe are wrong. If you find an error, email team@oedu.ai with the course name and a short description, or use the feedback option inside your course. A member of our content team reviews every report. When we confirm an error, we correct it and update the course's review date.

8. Trademarks

Exam and certification names are trademarks of their respective owners. oEdu.ai is an independent exam prep provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any certification body or exam provider.
